Sinking Ships

Sinking ships of today
brings forth
memories of yesterdays, past.

I died today.
Choked
on a key
with a stomach half-empty
filled of grassroots and
elephants.

Today, friendly fires
and open hearts.
Alas,
the key (mine) is gone—
Disintegration in the mind within.

The vast expanse of
vertical and horizontal
lines dividing
time and space.
Divulging.
